The epidemiology of a disease => totality of the associations and inferences about a disease from epidemiologic data (Sanchez)


Inferential Statistics => Use of mathematical procedures to generate estimates, predictions, generalizations

Objectives: STATISTICS 203 - Advanced Statistics

Objectives:

General: At the end of the course the students shall have acquired sufficient knowledge in statistical inference to undertake test of hypothesis.

Specific:
1. formulate suitable hypothesis for a given problem
2. choose the appropriate statistical test
3. infer correct conclusions from reults of analysis
